Hello Poets
I was deeply sorry to learn of Jason Page’s death. For those of you who do not know me, I started this poetry site many years ago, and asked Jason to help as editor. He went way beyond that, getting the wonderful new site design and keeping the members working on publishing and sharing their works on the site.
The site is fully under control, and as acting editor in chief – I would ask that a member assist me as the content Editor as I am not in NZ anymore and not really in touch with the people involved.
But don’t worry, the site is being looked after and if all members can reply to this, I will know who is active these days!
Best wishes
Nicholas Alexander
Thanks Nicholas. I am glad this site shall remain.
Hi Nicholas..JJ was a very special friend to me and met him through this site years ago when I was in Gisborne…been living in Auckland now 6 years…was a shock with his death..thanks for keeping it going & I will do anything I can to assist from NZ.
Cheers Leanne
That’s wonderfully reassuring, Nicholas. Because you’ve always been in the background none of us knew that you were still there keeping things running with Jason’s help. As he put so much of his heart and soul into it, it’s great to know you’ll keep it running. It is much appreciated by all of us, without a doubt!
Kia ora. I’m new here but enjoying it, and active. Replying as requested.
Thanks for the opportunity to be involved. MJ
Hello Nicholas,
i’m still here. but probably too busy to help.

we shared the odd one-on-one on-line talk

Hi, Nicholas.
So pleased to hear the site is safe.
Thank you, as ever, for providing it.
I can’t offer you any help – I am very busy at work – but do contribute reasonably regularly.
Hello, Nicholas. I am one of only a small number of poets who publish regularly, and would continue posting samples of my work. What would ‘content Editor’ involve? I am interested to help… if , that is, my limited experience can be of any use to the Site.
I will continue to look after the tech side of the site, but need someone to keep an eye on the content as members can publish and if they start to post stuff that could get us into trouble, it needs to be flagged up… – all seasoned members can do that of course – I can then remove stuff (or remove trolls).
Ideally, someone to be creative with the site and move us towards edited collections that can be published online and promoted and to create new content to support this project.
Thanks Nicholas, much appreciated. i will help if i can. if i’m needed
